Built for travellers who’d rather be moving than sitting on a bus. This route strings together the island’s best outdoor adventures mdash whitewater rapids a proper hiking summit a jeep safari and a surf session on the south coast mdash with just enough downtime to recover between them.

A good level of fitness is recommended but every activity is guided and can be scaled to your group’s experience.

Day 1

Kitulgala Whitewater Rafting

Arrive in Kitulgala for grade 2–3 rapids on the Kelani River.

Day 2

Knuckles Range Hike

A guided day hike through the Knuckles mountain range, overnighting in a local village.

Day 3

Transfer to Yala

Drive south with a stop at Ella’s Nine Arches Bridge, arriving in Yala by evening.

Day 4

Yala Safari & Coast Transfer

Morning jeep safari, then transfer to the south coast for the afternoon.

Day 5

Surf & Departure

A morning surf lesson at a beginner-friendly break before your onward transfer.
